Hi everyone, I’m traveling to Asia for a mini tea pilgrimage, and Japan will be my first stop, specifically Kyoto Prefecture and Osaka. I made a preliminary itinerary. I have a few days where I don’t have a whole bunch to do, and some pretty much everything, but my flight in and out can be moved around since I haven’t booked anything besides flights. I know some of the day trips will take a full day, such as Takeda, Uji, and possibly Wazuka. Any suggestions on what to fill the rest of my time with?
Day 1 Fri: Arrive in Osaka in the morning, afternoon travel to Kyoto (night is open)
Day 2 Sat: Philosopher’s Path, Arashiyama Bamboo Grove to Tenryu-ji Temple, Kinkakuji Temple
Day 3 Sun: Wazuka trip
Day 4 Mon: Obubu Tea Farm, Kennin-ji Temple, cooking class? Show?
Day 5 Tues: Travel and spend the day in Uji
Day 6 Wed: Check out of Kyoto stay. Travel to Osaka for the day and night.
Day 7 Thurs: open day. Swing dance at night.
Day 8 Friday: Stay in Osaka, Day trip to Takeda
Day 9 Saturday: Travel day to Xiamen, KIX at 8am, flight at 10, arrive at 7pm
