Hello! I’m traveling to Japan in the near future and will not be able to master the numbers system quickly enough, when out and about if I encounter needing to ask how much an item costs or being told what my total is when purchasing a service somewhere, how can I figure it out if the amount is not written numerically in front of me? I am considering bringing a notepad with me and if need be requesting for it to be written down for me, would that be an alright thing to do? I am aware not everyone can accomodate in english, so I want to make it as easy as possible for both parties involved. Thanks so much!
