Hi,
We, as 2 adults and 2 older kids (10 and 12ys old) are traveling to Japan in June. . We travel light and will each have only 1 backpack + 1 carryon-sized rolling luggage for a 2 week trip in Japan.
For our first stay, we are staying at [Mimaru Tokyo Shinjuku West](https://mimaruhotels.com/en/hotel/shinjuku-west/) and I’m trying to analyze good options for getting there from Narita (with said luggage).
We arrive around 6pm local time, and I’ve heard rush-hour car traffic isn’t too bad?
**Our options seem to be:**
\- booking a private car (as long as we don’t have to be stuck in traffic too long)
\- I’ve also read about limo bus? (More comfortable, but also potential traffic?)
\- [Narita Express](https://www.jreast.co.jp/multi/en/nex/) (but how would we get to our hotel? Maybe a combination of switching transportation and walking?)
**The Mimaru Shinjuku West website lists these as the nearest station:**
Tochomae Station A2 Exit(Toei Subway Oedo Line) 8-minute walk
Shinjuku Station South Exit(JR Yamanote Line) 10-minute walk
Shinjuku Station West Exit(Odakyu Line) 12-minute walk
Would love any advice if anyone has thoughts or experience to share.
Narita Express would seem to be most comfortable (bathrooms), stretch our legs. But once it gets to Tokyo Station, I’m not sure what to ride to get closest to our hotel. (Should we worry about rush hour crowds too?)
Thanks in advance!
