Hi guys, my partner and I (late 20s) have consolidated our final itinerary as follows.
We wish to check if there are any other things that we should take note of or if anyone would have any recommendations for food/shops/must buy items or souvenirs.
Are there any days that seem too packed or have too much time dedicated to one area? If too much time is dedicated to any one area, would you have any recommendations to fill the time?
Day 1- 28 Mar
Land at ~6am and take the 8.50am Narita express (booked on klook) from T1 to Shinjuku. Breakfast at the airport if hungry.
Reach Shinjuku at 10.20 am. Put the luggage in the coin locker and roam Shinjuku Gyoen until hotel check in at 3pm. Lunch in the area.
Proceed to Meguro river for the sakura promenade and dinner (Yakisoba CELONA booked)
Day 2- 29 Mar
Kimono rental booker at 9.30am at Asakusa. Asakusa Nakamise Dori and Sumida park for food/shopping
Ueno park and Ameyokocho for food/shopping and night illumination.
Day 3- 30 Mar
Booked Teamlabs borderless at 12.30pm. Breakfast and lunch in the area
Booked Skytree at 5pm
Dinner in the area
Day 4- 31 Mar
Chidorigafuchi park. Breakfast and Lunch in the area
Collect the Mishima to Kyoto Hikari Shinkansen tickets that were booked on klook from Tokyo Station before 6pm. Dinner in the area.
Day 5- 1st Apr
Tsukiji outer market for breakfast/lunch
Harajuku for shopping. Dinner in the area.
Day 6- 2nd Apr
Check out and take the 7am highway bus to Kawaguchiko from Shinjuku (booked). Breakfast before the bus.
Reach at 9am, put luggage in a coin locker and travel to Chureito Pagoda. If time permits, travel to Kachi Kachi Ropeway. Lunch in either area.
2.30pm Hotel shuttle and check in. Relax for a bit before heading to the Kawaguchiko Sakura festival. Dinner there.
Day 7- 3rd Apr
Oishi Park, Kawaguchiko forest museum area. Breakfast and lunch in the area. If there was no time for Kachi Kachi Ropeway yesterday, do it today.
Dinner at the Hotel at 7pm.
Day 8- 4th Apr.
8am hotel breakfast
10am hotel shuttle to Kawaguchiko station. Have an early Lunch.
11.20am – 12.50pm highway bus to Mishima station (booked)
1.46pm Hikari to Kyoto (booked)
Check in at the hotel nearby and head to Nijo castle for the illumination (tickets booked). Dinner anywhere between.
Day 9- 5th Apr
Pick up the Kyoto to Hakata Nozomi Shinkansen tickets (booked on klook) and the Kintetsu rail pass (bought on kintetsu website) from Kintetsu Kyoto/Kyoto station.
Roam Arashiyama, breakfast and lunch in the area.
Booked Unagi Hirokawa for dinner.
Night illumination at Togetsu-kyo bridge.
Day 10- 6th Apr
Booked a day tour on Klook for Amanohashidate incl view land ropeway and Ine Funaya incl boat ride. Pick up at 8.45am at Kyoto.
Dinner anywhere after drop off at 5.30pm. Thinking to squeeze in some nightlife if we’re not too fatigued.

Day 11- 7th apr
Booked the 7.40am-9.26am Kintetsu Limited Express to Yoshino Station.
Take the cable car. Shuttle buses if lazy. Roam the area and stay for awhile for the night illumination. Breakfast/lunch/dinner here.
Head back to Kyoto with the Kintetsu Express trains (no need to reserve).
Day 12- 8th Apr
Kimono rental and roam philosophers path, other temples etc. Dinner and last minute shopping after returning the kimono at 5.30pm.
Day 13- 9th Apr
Check out and take the 6.55am to 9.40am Nozomi from Kyoto to Hakata. Breakfast at Hakata station then take the 10.50am highway bus to Yufuin.
Reach at 1pm. Lunch and roam before check in at 3pm. Rest in our private onsen and Dinner at the hotel.
Day 14- 10th Apr
Yunotsubo Street and Yufuin Floral village.
Breakfast and dinner provided by the hotel. Lunch anywhere at these areas.
Day 15- 11th Apr
Breakfast in the hotel.
Check out and head to yufuin station area for lunch.
Highway bus from Yufuin to Hakata booked for 2.30pm to 4.30pm.
Check into the hotel and go for shopping/dinner. Will visit Yatai stalls.
Day 16- 12th Apr
Breakfast then head to Uminonakamichi Seaside Park. Lunch in the area. Dinner too if the park is too large to finish before dinner.
Day 17- 13th Apr
Shopping
Day 18- 14th Apr
Flight at 10am back home. Will aim to reach the airport at least 2h before the flight.
