Is this a good plan?

Hey everyone,

I’ve been a fan of Japanese culture for a long time. I love the food and cook it often at home (my wallet cries everytime). I like the way they treat and have respect for eachother.

I went there in 2019 and it intensified my love for Japan.
After that trip i wanted to get to know the culture even better. This led me to the underbelly of Japan and all the not so fun things about it.

During Covid i looked at every way i could find to move to Japan and i think that i came up with a good plan.

Next September I’m going to university, as a 26y old guy it’ll be hard to get back into studying but i know I’ll be able to do it.

I’ll do a 3 years Bachelor (oriental languages and culture: Japan) and might do a 2 years Master aswell.
In the last year of my bachelor’s I’ll be able to study in Japan for 1 semester. This will give me the opportunity to know what it’s like to live in Japan not as a tourist. If i do a Masters I’ll be able to go there for a year to study and do research for my paper.

I picked this topic to study because of my interest and it would also help me prepare fory eventual move to Japan (i’ll learn Japanese and Japanese history). I also think that this would give me a wider variety of job choices.

Is this a good way to achieve my dream of moving to Japan or is there an easier way that I’m missing?

For context: i don’t have any degrees and would like to avoid becoming an english teacher.
