I’ve been trying to gather my documents for helping my parents applying for VISA from India to Japan and I’ve gathered most of the documents. But, I’m struggling to get my “年末確定申告書の控え”, a.k.a. “Copy of year-end tax return”.
Since my company files my taxes, I don’t have that original year end tax return. If I do have, I’ve no clue what it looks like.
My Japanese is pretty much 0 at this point, but I showed this exact phrase in Kanji and said “kore ga hoshi desu” (I want this). We had a few google translation conversation back and forth, but the gentleman at the counter said “He didn’t understand what kind of tax return copy I wanted”.

Are there various kinds of tax return copies? I was looking for last year’s copy and I mentioned “去年” (Kyo-nen). Still he was confused.
I found this e-Tax website ([https://www.e-tax.nta.go.jp/uketsuke/msgbox.htm](https://www.e-tax.nta.go.jp/uketsuke/msgbox.htm)) and I’ve been trying to open it since this morning, but it just shows “It’s Loading”. Guess I’ll again tomorrow during business hours ( \* sigh \* ). Maybe this can provide the copy of last year’s tax return confirmation.
I did ask my employer about the 年末確定申告書の控え (Copy of year-end tax return) and they mentioned that it’s something that a local tax office should be able to provide and not the employer.

Can anyone please point me in the direction of what can I do to obtain this piece of paper? What should I specifically say to the folks at my local tax office so they know what I’m looking for.

I used the Myna Portal and was able to grab latest details about tax details ([https://i.imgur.com/4hXECdd.png](https://i.imgur.com/4hXECdd.png)), but I’m not sure if this could qualify as a confirmation of final tax return.
