Canada Japan Work Holiday Visa

Is it possible for me to work remotely for my job in Canada, while staying in Japan using the Work Holiday Visa? If so, do I need to get my salary paid through a Japan based legal entity? Or can I simple stay in Japan and work as I normally would without any changes?

I am trying to do this, but my employer is not allowing me to go for longer than 14 days because they need a Japan based legal entity to pay me through, but I don’t know if this is necessary with the Working Holiday Visa.

Failing this, I have the same questions for the Digital Nomad Visa.

I have a meeting to discuss this with HR today, and my consulate-general has not been helpful, and the Japanese email address they sent me has not answered my inquiry.

Thanks for the help!

Edit: The automod has posted a helpful visa wiki, and from reading it, it seems there’s nearly no way to work as I described in Japan at all. This seems to be counter to most other information I find on the internet about these Visas though, so I’m confused.

Update: Thanks to everyone who answered.

Regarding the policies of my employer:
My employer also has location-based pay determined and distributed by their local legal entities in the country to ensure “fair pay” for each location, which is invoked by staying for typically 3 or more months. They also do not have a location in Japan, so they can not determine that pay. I don’t know why this is so important since my primary location is still Canada, but seems like it’s not very budgeable.

Regarding the difficulties they would face, it seems that it introduces room for additional liability on the company, and that seems like it would make it near impossible.
