Hello! My wife and I are leaving this week for our honeymoon trip to Japan. We’re both first timers. We’re not too picky, what we’re hoping to get out of Japan is: hitting a lot of the “must do’s”, seeing some shrines, exploring walkable neighborhoods with cool vibes and “hanging out in the city”, drinking, and anime shopping.
I’m stressing because I want to make the most out of this trip and I’m worried some of these days are too sparse or not planned well. I would greatly appreciate any and all feedback on my itinerary.
**Day 1 – Tokyo**
* Ueno Park sakura
* Ameyoko (Uniqlo, denim shopping)
* Yanaka
* Onsen near hotel or go to a bar
**Day 2 – Tokyo** *Is this day too sparse? We’re not sure what we should do between Shinjuku Gyoen and sunset. Any recommendations?*
* Shinjuku Gyoen sakura (reservation secured 10am)
* Ramen lunch
* Evening exploring Shinjuku (see the lights, cocktail or sake bar, a drink at Golden Gai)
**Day 3 – Tokyo** *This will be on Sunday so Akihabara streets will be open. Do you recommend Akihabara or Asakusa as the evening activity? I’ve decided on doing Akihabara earlier in the day to avoid crowds (getting to stores right when they open – I want to do some actual shopping), and I’ve heard good things about visiting Sensoji at night.*

* Akihabara (figuring shopping)
* Asakusa (Sensoji, Sumida River)

* Nakameguro
* Daikanyama
