I didn’t realise that I booked my Japan holiday in the middle of Golden week 🙁
Me and my friend are travelling and we are hoping to go from Tokyo –> Kyoto = 4th May and then Kyoto –> Osaka = 8th May and then Osaka –> Tokyo on the 11th May. We will be taking the shinkansens between these regions (no JR pass). From my research, the shinkansens are so regular, we could just buy tickets on the day however because it’s golden week, is it worth buying my tickets now ahead of time or am I being overzealous?
