Hi, I and my wife will be visiting Tokyo for 5 days in the first week of May with a 7 month old baby and we are unable to decide on which part of Tokyo we should search for accomodations. We started with Shinnuku but read that it is known for its adult oriented nighlife, which we wouldn’t be engaging in being with a baby. Other names I saw were Shibuya, Ueno, and inza. This is the first time we are visiting Japan, so we wanted to see if we can get some advice here from the more experienced ones 😊.
We are looking for a mid-range hotel close $150-$180 per night. Thanks!

With a baby I think anywhere near a metro is fine. It’s easy to get around and being near a metro just makes things more convenient. It also depends on what you plan on doing. If you are going to Disneyland for 1 or 2 days then staying near Tokyo station makes getting to Disneyland easier.
