Hi! I’m studying Japanese but I’m still a beginner (based on online info and stuff I consider my level almost at N5).
Now, as a non-native English speaker, while I was studying for my certification I used some texts from the Oxford Bookworms Collection. Basically, they are “adapted” versions of classics and other genres, so that they’d match certain levels, from A1 to C1.
As I’m studying Japanese now, I wonder if there’s a similar Library of readaptations of interesting books and stories to match my language level. While I do like manga, I am not sure they are proper for learning grammar, and their style is very informal; I also would not like to only read children books until I improve.
I do not need instructions on how to study, as I’m attending a base course, using Genki, and Duolingo too (don’t come at me, it’s fun 🙁). More specifically, the question is about stimulating books and texts to make learning a bit more entertaining in this phase, because I’m starting to get a bit stuck and unmotivated!
