8-Day Itinerary in Tokyo in May
(Tokyo – Hakone – Mt Fuji – Kamakura – Tokyo)
It’s our first time in Japan 🇯🇵 Our main goal is to try varieties of Japanese cuisine while shopping (snacks, makeup, stationery, clothing, toys (husband loves them) while appreciating beautiful scenery and architecture.
Also choosing to mainly go to different places connected via the subway, so less walking time and avoiding expensive transportation fees where possible.
Appreciate any advice – ie better restaurant locations, or additional places we should not miss which we can fit in on Day 1 and Day 8.
Our hotel stay throughout is in Ginza near Tsukiji market besides the one night stay @ Mt Fuji. Thanks so much!!!
DAY 1
– Arrive at Narita Airport in early AM
– Staying in a hotel in Ginza
(Travelling with friends as well, so keeping this day free and easy)
DAY 2
– Meiji Jingu @ 9AM
– (Ramen)🍴Oreryu Shio Ramen
– Takeshita Street (Happy to skip this if it’s overrated – appreciate a recommendation to replace this)
– 🛍️ Loft Shibuya
– Shibuya Crossing
– Shibuya Sky @ 5.30 pm (Sunset @ 6.30 pm?)
– (Omakase)🍴Tatsuro Sushi (making a trip for this) – (any advice on what time to make a reservation for this, considering a 30 minute travelling time via subway)
DAY 3
– 🍴Onigiri Marutoyo @ 6AM
– 🍴Tsukiji Fish Market
– 🍴Any restaurant nearby to look out for since Tsukiji may be crowded?
(Rest in the hotel before heading out again)

Booked Tour to Hakone, Mt Fuji & Kamakura
Staying @ Mt Fuji.
