Hi! I tried to look up older posts regarding health insurance and as far as I understand, you wont go bankrupt even if you get injured with the national health insurance, since you will be paying only 30% of the cost.
Im wondering if it is worth it to get extra insurance for the 30%? Im a 24 year old guy who likes to skateboard so there is always a risk of needing some medical attention (broken wrist/ankle, head injury). Does anyone have any information regarding the costs of these kinds of operations? I am living in Japan for a year and I can get a travel insurance from my home country, but it would be around 1000 euros or more.
Are there any options in Japan to get an additional insurance or should I just go with the national health insurance? Thank you!
