Itinerary Check – Kamakura/Enoshima Day trip from Tokyo

Hello! I’m going to be in Tokyo for about 10 days in May (after Golden Week). Hotels are already booked and I am planning on doing a day trip to Kamakura and Enoshima. I’ve listed the activities/spots I’d like to hit for this day below. The plan is to start the day early. I’m an early riser anyway. Just looking for some feedback. I just don’t want the day to be too busy. I’m not sure if this is too ambitious, but I would like to hit everything below without it being too rushed. Is that possible? Also, I’m in good shape and can bike if that’s a good idea. Otherwise, I’m happy walking. If needed, are taxis pretty readily available? To get from Kamakura to Enoshima. I’m 100% open to any feedback or recommendations.

I’d get to Engaku-ji at open (8:30AM). I don’t need to spend a lot of time here but am looking forward to doing a bit of exploring. Main reason for going is to visit the grave of Yasujiro Ozu, though.

Afterwards, the plan would be to head to Kotoku-in & Hasedera. Then maybe food and onward to Enoshima or to Enoshima for food.

In Enoshima, so far the plan is to visit the Enoshima Shrine and the Samuel Cocking Garden. (Also hopefully catch view of Mt. Fuji… though I’ve heard the best chance to see it is in the morning.) Then depart back to Tokyo in the evening.

Thinking that should make for a pretty full day but I don’t want to overdo it. Is this too much? Also, I know don’t account for food much here and the initial plan was to more so play it by ear in Kamakura and Enoshima around where we’ll be. But definitely open to suggestions!

Thank you!
