Questions regarding Aoniyoshi train ticket booking

I plan to travel to Nara from Osaka, and saw this as a great option as it takes only about 35 mins to reach Nara.

At the reservation page, I have 2 options to select for my seat location: “None specified” and “Select from seat map”. As i’m booking this a bit too late, all seats have been booked so when i choose “Select from seat map”, i can’t book anything. But if i choose “None specified” i am brought to the payment page. I assume this means i can get a ticket despite the train being full.

Questions:

1) Will they invalidate my ticket if i don’t have a specific reserved seat?

2) Does this mean i have to stand for 35 mins or is there a random free seating place i can camp at during the ride?

3) Does anyone have any alternatives to travel from Osaka to Nara in the early morning of a Thurs/Fri in April? Idk how Japan’s morning commute to work rush will be like so I am afraid that going there by regular train rails. I plan to leave my hotel between 7:30-8am.
