Should I set up a KK or LLC for the Business Manager Visa?

Hi guys!

I’m applying for the business manager visa and I heard that normally most people get 1 year and have to keep renewing. For the business manager visa, you can either set up a KK (株式会社), or a LLC (合同会社).

My question is, if money is not an issue, would setting up a KK give me a better chance of getting a 3 year visa as it may show a larger commitment of my investment in having my business in Japan? Would there be any other downsides of having a KK instead of a LLC, like taxes or other administrative work?

(I know that both are fine and that the main deciding factor is the business plan itself, I’m just wondering if the KK gives even a slight increased chance at a 3 year approval)

Thank you!
