Is it possible to move assets in NISA to a 401k? I am moving from Japan to the US. There does not seem to be any tax-free investment options in the US comparable to NISA where I can contribute assets other than salary. There is the 401k. But that only deducts from salary. Leaving Japan I will have lots of cash with no tax friendly investments to put them into. I was wondering if there was a way to rollover NISA assets to the 401k. Basically my goal is to contribute more to the 401k than just my salary.
