I recently moved to Japan and brought my PlayStation from my home country with.
I bought a TV and when I turned it on it took me through a set up process. One of the steps included scanning the BCAS card. In the package with the TV it only had the chip (mini BCAS). I’m coming to realise this is how you get broadcasts on your TV but you have to purchase a small card to put the chip in and then put it into the TV. I skipped the scan part because I don’t have this card.
The problem is I just want to use the TV to connect it to my PlayStation through the HDMI cable or my laptop for a bigger screen. For some reason the HDMI is not detecting my PlayStation. Is this because I skipped the scan?
My Japanese is really bad so it’s not like I can just phone a number or go to the shop I bought the TV and ask them.
