I feel Japan’s pain. This heatwave is sweeping across the world.
I live in Georgia (North America) and we’ve hit days that feel like 103F. That was weeks ago. Not looking forward to the even hotter months.
I was still waiting for the rainy season when summer was announced… run before 7am after that its too hot!
Time to take the masks off
Waiting for “climate change is a hoax” trolls to enter the chat.
I went for a slow paced 20 minute walk this morning, and I was in the shade for 80-90% of the time. By the time I got back my allegedly sweat-absorbent Uniqlo undershirt was guilty of major dereliction of duty.
And the schools still won’t turn the AC on because it’s June and seasons go by calendar date not actual weather and common fucking sense.
At least humidity is relatively low.
Yep…. it’s not as bad here in the south but holy shit is it hot.
Can’t click on one freaking heatwave article without at least one picture of kids playing in water, or people chilling having a good time, like do these journalists even remotely understand what’s at stake?
Feels like Texas…except every building isn’t 18 degrees inside.
We had that in Europe just a couple of weeks ago. In Madrid we reached 42-43c during the day and nights above 30c-32c. That is not uncommon here in Spain but definitely not in June, more like mid-July or August. I guess it’s the same over there 🙁
This is my favorite time of year to live in Northern Tohoku. Its 22 degrees today.
Is anyone else really actually scared about climate change? This is really terrifying to me.
Could be a chili pepper this summer, or just a freak heat wave found out on the next episode of AirCon Z
Oh boy, and this will just keep getting worse and worse every year.
Solar mirrors anyone?
It’s not so bad out here in the mountains in Niigata. Get outta the cities people.
暑いね
Live in Oklahoma, 90s every day is pretty normal every year here.
Worst ever, for JUNE. Exaggerated title for clicks.
Next level heat, it’s like those scorpion peppers, almost like a drug. Learn to enjoy it folks, we’re in for a long haul : )
I live in Tokyo right now. It still feels okay as long as you get under a shade. Bring an umbrella if you need to walk from place to place. Pack extra clothes and lots of water. I still bike 5 km to where I need to go everyday and it’s still bearable. Well, considering I grew up in a humid tropical country, my experience is different in this heat wave. 😅
