Hello there! I’m currently slated for an early may trip and I think i’m nearing my final itinerary draft. Ive never really traveled before and I might have made some mistakes regarding this, but i’m going to try my utmost best to work with what I have. Bookings are all done, and I cannot really change locations/stays at this point, and I am willing to accept more time on public transport to see a lot of these things if they aren’t completely optimal. I would really appreciate any tips or advice regarding things, if anything jumps out as a huge mistake/ isn’t feasible please let me know! We wont be planning food at all, and we will be mainly using coin lockers to hold our luggage in between hotels.
Day 1:
Arrive Haneda > Grab next day AM shinkansen ticket > Train to Asakusa
Hotel Check in > Nakamise shopping street > Sensoji temple > Hotel/rest

Day 2:

Earliest Shinkansen > Kyoto > Kiyomizu-dera > Arrive at ryokan in Gion > Explore Higashiyama (Yasaka pagoda, philosophers path, wander a bit) > Evening visit to Yasaka Shrine

Day 3:
5am Fushimi Inari (Whole hike) > Nishiki Market > Nijo Castle > Back to Ryokan area (There are a few stores near the ryokan I plan on going to if I have time to squeeze them in here) > Maruyama park potentially > Pontocho for dinner > retire for the evening

Day 4:
Earliest Shinkansen to Hakone > Evangelion store > one night onsen stay (Had to include this in my trip, honestly okay with not seeing all of hakone, but definitely wanted to stay at an onsen resort)
Day 5:
Food > Train to Tokyo > Try to attend Frieren Exhibit (Ikebukuro) > Shinjuku > Shopping/food > Pokemon center > Kabukicho Tower > Kabukicho night stroll > Omoide Yokocho
Day 6:
Shibuya > Backup day for Frieren Exhibit > Mandarake > Crossing > Hachiko (Not important if its crowded) > Capcom store/magnet/parco/pokemon center/weeb shopping

Day 7:
Yokohama > Bleach Anime Exhibit > Cosmo World > Landmark Tower sky garden > Chinatown > Muv-luv tree (If you know, you know)

Day 8:
Akihabara > Literally just exploring the entire day and going to arcades in the evening

Day 9:
Nakano Broadway > Small worlds Tokyo > Second Akihabara run (or potentially any area I feel I should return too/or else wherever we feel like going this day)

Day 10:
Breakfast > Last minute shopping > saying goodbye > Board plane for home

I know this probably isn’t optimal, and I know i’m missing a lot and am probably trying to do too much for 10 days. Please let me know your thoughts and opinions, and thank you for reading!
