2 night vs 1 night at Kinosaki onsen?

Am planning my October solo trip and hope to gather some thoughts about this.

During my last trip, I spent 1 night at a Hakone onsen, which was very lovely and relaxing. This time I decided to stay at a Ryokan at Kinosaki Onsen. However, I am having difficulty determining whether or not I should stay 1 night there or 2 nights:

Staying 2 nights seems pretty relaxing. And I can finally relax at an onsen and walk around town without worrying about the time.

However, staying 2 nights at my chosen ryokan isn’t cheap. Plus from some other posts I gather that Kinosaki seems like a pretty small place, so not a lot of time is needed for a thorough visit, even if I take it slow.

So I just wanted to ask everybody, is 2 days 1 night pretty sufficient for a trip around Kinosaki? Or should I go for 3 days 2 nights?
