I bought my computer from Amazon in the US a few years ago and had it shipped to me here. It just quit working one day, but I had bought the extended warranty so I sent it in for repair via EMS.
My packing job wasn’t super great, but I’m pretty sure I met the minimum requirements posted on the ASUS website. Anyway, it was damaged en-route and ASUS charged me $144 to repair it.
This amounts to just over the default insurance pay out for EMS parcels, but I’m not sure if I qualify or not for compensation. Has anyone ever filed a claim for that insurance or know what is required?
