my bg: I’m a Chinese female(33) grow up with different cultures(my friends call me third culture kid but idk) and has lived in China, UK, Ireland, France, Germany etc(but it’s bitter story behind that, I’ll leave it now as it’s not important and just wanna say I’m not rich). I really like Japan so I put so much effort in order to get a job, finally I got one in Kamakura. at first I was really excited, but now things just got really odd.
the position I interviewed is international digital marketing(海外SNS运营) for its targeted customer in Taiwan China. which perfectly match my design + international marketing bg and CV. I had three rounds interviews. 1st round with HR introducing the position and company, 2rd round with my direct leader, 3rd round with big boss, which he mentioned about maybe I can also do a bit PR job, I think digital marketing and PR could consider as similar type of marketing so I think it’s ok.
they did have a online meeting with me introduce the salary, and had online meeting with visa expert(行政书士). by the date of 25th of April, I do received an automatic email from Japanese government said CoE application has been accepted.
but things got more and more awkward are:
1) the HR seems also do other jobs too and he said he and me will work for the guy who interview me at 2rd round, so he is not just a HR?
2) 12th April, he told me our direct leader wanted a more “convenient” way to contact me instead of email, then I say you can contact me by WhatsApp as Line are banned from here now(yup now I live in Shanghai)
3) then the leader first text me, ask me if I can work as a freelancer for the company, he will pay me. then he ask what kind of marketing I did before, and then ask me if I can do Shopify EC management, CRM etc. which totally beyond my position. what more ridiculous is yesterday he texted me again and ask me to join the meeting next week about packaging design of their product gifts set which is another new thing that beyond my position.
4) the leader wanted me to locate to Kansai instead of Kamakura, as he wants me to be more close to work with him as it’s more convenient. also he has his own consultancy company there.
5) the HR seems also reply my email so late about 9 or 10 pm, and early in the morning like 9 am, even reply me now during golden week holiday!
6)I gave them a lot of my private files to apply visa, but what they gave me is 採用内定 通知書（仮）and 处遇条件通知書（仮）, they said as we all don’t know when we can get CoE and boarding time is unsure, so the boarding time on the file is 0000, so they can only give me files with （仮）, at least to me, idk how that visa expert deal with it.
7) my salary and benefits:
1.月例報酬額
404, 250円(×12か月=想定年收 4, 851, 000 円)（基本給：325, 500円、固定残業手当：78, 750 円)
2.交通費
全額支給 ※上限有り 35, 000円/月
benefits shows on the contract are just holiday, usual stuff.
that’s all on the contract but without stamp, just a 处遇条件通知書（仮）
8) the leader told me there are another member from Thai, and three members but he didn’t say much. leader is half Japanese half Malaysian, had his own company in Shanghai years ago, and he sent me his pitch on YouTube seems like a Ted talk, he talked about how he decided quit school and start his business bla bla bla seems pretty good at marketing himself.
guys, it’s really hard get a job nowadays and I feel exhausted, the first job is really important as I have to pay my own ticket and find my own apartment (although they said they will give me file to support me but have not yet) etc. now I’m start to really worried about if they’re “black company”(ブラック企業), if they’re using me, avoid email but prefer meeting as it has “no paper record”.
Any advices and suggestions are appreciate, thank you so much guys, really really appreciate!!😭😭
