I’ve been combing through hotels and their reviews and I’m struggling to find a hotel in Tokyo and Kyoto for my allergy sensitivities with proximity to transportation. Each time I think I’ve found one, I see a review that mentions “smell, mildew, mold or musky” which are all red flags. I am extremely sensitive to mold and I also need a hotel closer to sights and transportation. A new build, being able to open a window, limited carpeting and a balcony to let in fresh air is ideal. Has anyone stayed in a well-situated hotel that didn’t have a weird/musty smell or visible mold? Thanks for any recommendations!
