Hey everyone,
I’ve spontaneously booked a trip to Japan from May 31st to June 17th. Having already explored Osaka, Kyoto, and Tokyo, I’m on the lookout for recommendations for new cities to visit during this time. I’m particularly interested in new destinations and would prefer not to switch hotels too often, and have multiple options for activities in a single place.
Any heads up on big festivals or celebrations happening in Japan during this period would also be greatly appreciated!
I’m a big fan of food, historical sites, partying, Drum and Bass, beautiful landscapes, and meeting new people. I’m also into fitness and open to physical activities. While I’d prefer not to rent a car, I’m willing to consider it if it significantly enhances the trip.
I’m thinking about focusing on central and south Japan, but I’m open to heading north if there are any major events. Also, I’m traveling with my boyfriend who’s a huge anime and gaming enthusiast. His birthday is at the end of June, so if you have any suggestions for events around the week of June 12th, I’d love to surprise him with something special.
