I am planning my honeymoon with my wife to go back to Japan (visited previously in 2019 for 16 days and did Tokyo-Kyoto-Osaka-Hiroshima-Nara). We are aiming for a slightly longer trip this time in October 2024, totaling approximately 21 days. It is an ambitious trip and with how expensive the shinkansen has gotten, we were looking to fly between destinations since the airfare is cheaper and we’ve both always wanted to see Sapporo and Okinawa. I am mostly worried about the feasibility of flying between areas. The flights are generally quick and the travel to city centers isn’t too bad, but I’m worrying we are stretching ourselves too thin. I am willing to make concessions and removing certain places, but I would love to make it all work. Any advice on domestic flying and time spent in certain areas is sincerely appreciated. Additionally if there are some key places that are must-visits at any of these locations in October specifically, it would be great to hear your thoughts. Thanks!
