To preface I’m not talking about getting wasted, just drunk. I have been in Japan for over a month now and mostly all of my izakaya experiences have been me feeling just a little buzzed afterwards. I’m looking for drink recommendations that will do the job and not taste like ass (for example, highballs). I have been just sticking with umeshu, lemon sours, and beer, but all those things will take a while to get me feeling drunk since they are low percentage. Is pregaming with strong zeros the only option?
