This may be a silly question, but I’ve seen some Horror stories.
Basically, I get free use of my debit card in Japan – no fees, no extras, nothing. Just the conversion.
However, I love the feeling of Credit Card protection. Being able to dispute a charge is very freeing. However, there are small fees with it. (1-2%?)
Alternatively I could do cash, but I’m staying in a university and don’t want to have anything stolen, (multiple people in the same room).
So what do we think is the best option?
