Does this book teach the Okinawan language (https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Okinawan\_language) or the Okinawan variety / dialect of Japanese? I’m just starting out in Japanese, so I can’t tell by listening to the sound files. If it is the Okinawan language, is it worth learning? How many Okinawans do not speak Japanese?
