Hi. My wife recently delivered our first baby boy in a hospital in Kumamoto recently. We are still staying in a private room right now, until the 14th of May, so total period of stay is gonna be 7 nights. The room is excellent to be honest and the hospital is taking good care of us. But I’m kinda a bit nervous of how much it will finally cost us. I know we will get 500000 yen lump sum payment, but I want to know how much money I will have to pay to the hospital when we are discharged from the hospital. Fyi, I have been working in Japan close to 3 years and enrolled my wife into Company insurance (shakai hoken). Anyone can share their experience please? Thank you in advance.
