I have a wedding in Okinawa and have 2 free days in the Naha area. I would like to explore the Kerama Islands but don’t want to fall in the trap of a touristy experience. I am considering going to one of the islands for a night and then find my way around the island to snorkel or maybe rent a kayak and snorkel gear. Is this feasible? I would like some guidance in a few specific questions:
1- If so, where should I stay?Which of the 3 inhabited islands gives me the best options to swim with turtles, see a beautiful beach and snorkel in coral reefs?
2- Is there a travel agency or rental shop that you recommend for me to rent the gear?
3- If I have 2 hours between the time in which my plane lands in Naha and the last ferry departure, do I have enough time to get my luggage and taxi to the ferry station or will 2 hours be too tight?
