I will have a long flight soon and I could never sleep in the airplane regardless of what I tried (red wine, prescription free medicaments). So normally I would arrive overtired and could not easily get used to the different time zone.
However after I got a prescription for ambien many years ago, I fell asleep really easy in the airplane, was well rested when arriving and had no problem with the new time zone.
I heard that Ambien is sold as マイスリー here in Japan, but have no idea how hard it is to get a prescription for it.
I even saw there are some online Japanese pharmacies where you could have a web call and get it, but these are expensive and since I speak Japanese I thought I could also get it the normal way.
If I go to a doctor and tell them about my upcoming flight and that I would like to have マイスリー will they normally prescribe it?
