So I’ve been learning Japanese off and on by myself for a few years. Initially, I didn’t know about RTK or JLPT. I naturally picked up common kanji from texting Japanese people online, and when I found a new kanji, I looked it up on Jisho. Over time, I acquired around 1,000 kanji. Recently, I’ve decided to take my learning seriously to reach an advanced level and read short novels in Japanese. Should I start over from scratch with RTK, or should I continue learning since I’m already familiar with kanji? I’d like to know your thoughts.
