Itinerary 14 days Osaka(/Kyoto/Nara/Tokyo/Kinosaki)

Hi! Going to Japan in late October/early November and wanted to see if there’s anything I missed and absolutely have to see, or just some recommendations.

I’ve been to Japan 3 times already, although mostly Tokyo and the surrounding regions, so I’m unsure about travel times and how long to spend etc throughout Osaka especially.

We’re 3 female travelers, one a first-timer (hence the Tokyo trip), and our main points of interest are culture and shopping. I’m not a big food person, but the others are, so if you have any recs (especially gluten-free ones), I’ll gladly take them.

Also note there’s a few tidbits that I haven’t included in this because we wanted to leave those open for whenever we have time/energy left. This is mostly bars and a few specific shops we want to visit. Also, before noon/afternoon doesn’t have to be exactly 12pm; I guess it’s more of a “before/after lunch” thing.

Sat, 26.10.
– Arrival, check-in at hotel, supermarket, eat, visit DONKI, Triangle Park in the evening

Sun, 27.10.
– Before noon: Rainbow Festa, eat
– Afternoon: explore Umeda Area (LUCUA, Ghibli Store, baseyard Tokyo, Nakazakichou)

Mon, 28.10.
– Before noon: explore Dotonbori (mipig Café, Shinsaibashisuji, PINK KAWAII Café, Orange Street, maybe take a ferry(?))
– Afternoon: explore Den Den Town

Tue, 29.10.
– Before noon: take Shinkansen to Tokyo, visit Meiji Jingu, explore Harajuku (Takeshita dori, Laforet, Alice on Wednesday)
– Afternoon: eat, explore Shibuya (Hachiko Statue, Shibuya Crossing, Shibuya 109)

Stay in a hotel in Tokyo, probably around Ueno

Tue, 5.11.
– Entire day in Kyoto (Kiyomizu-dera, Ninenzaka Starbucks, Gion, Yasaka Shrine, Nishiki Market, Teramachi-dori, Okazaki Jinja, Kyoto Handicraft Center, Fushimi Inari, Ichijo Yokai Street, Philosopher’s path)

Wed, 6.11.
– Free day

Thu, 7.11.
– Free day/packing, last minute souvenir shopping

Fri, 8.11.
– Back to airport

Kyoto is still a mess because I’m not sure how much of it we can fit into what day, and somewhere in there we’re planning on renting out Yukata for the complete Gaijin experience. I was thinking that the path from Yasaka Shrine to Kiyomizu-dera (including everything’s that’s on the way) would be a nice route for that.

Anyways, I’d appreciate any recommendations or suggestions! Thanks!
