Moving to Japan with a J-Find visa

Hello everyone,

First time posting on this subreddit. The boss of a small company in Tokyo verbally agreed to hire me, but apparently hiring a foreigner involves a lot of administrative work. Given that I’m eligible for the J-Find visa after graduating from a T20 university with a degree in computer science, I’m considering using this route to simplify the hiring process for them. Is that worth pursuing?

If this doesn’t work out, what are my chances of finding software engineering or similar work in Japan on a J-Find visa? My Japanese proficiency is moderate; but still nowhere near as good as I should be to work in japan. I’m hoping to improve it while working. Thanks for your advice!
