Listening immersion at lower levels?

Hi all
Im preparing N5 and I was wondering if there were any good (and free ideally) resources for listening to japanese at this level where you can ideally listen to grammar and vocab at your level…
Anime is like too much to take in atm

Thanks a lot

  1. I couldn’t find anything good. But I did watch One Piece and understand most of that, so…try some shonen anime?

  2. This channel is pretty awesome. It’s low level but it’s so fun I watch it even at an intermediate level.

If you’re looking for something a bit more intensive than this there’s also the Nihongo Con Teppei for Beginners podcast. There are literally hundreds of episodes (at about 5 minutes each.) If you don’t have Spotify you can also find it on other platforms by the same name.

Then if you want to specifically do practice for the N5, this website has maybe a couple hundred practice questions and answer with a transcript and word list. (Note: the transcripts sometimes have errors so watch out for that.)

    Hope this helps! 頑張ってね!
