So I started watching new japan in 2017(Take me back). And I didn't really know about despy that well or thought much about him until BOSJ 25. When I saw him against Hiromu I was hooked to him. And when he got hurt in 2019 and then returned there was just a different air around him.
Then 2020 hit and I feel like this broke out that year with his matches against Shingo,Hiromu,Robbie,Sho,etc. And of course the final made him a star.
Then from 2021-2022 he was just having great matches with Okada,Robbie,Hiromu,etc. And not to mention he's so ridiculously charismatic that he could do anything and it would work. And following 2023 to now Despy is a major draw for the company and having his own events that people crave.
To sum it up I'm just happy for the man.
