Where to find a “surgeon”?

This might be very specific but Im kinda lost. I have a smallish open wound on my lower stomach, went to a general doctor so I can get it checked and potentially closed but he told me that he couldn't do that and that I should find a surgeon, my issue is that when I google surgeons the only ones that pop out are cosmetic surgeons or hand surgeons. Any suggestions on what to search or any doctor recommendations? Preferably that they can speak English (or Spanish) that I can speak some japanese but not that confident on myself to talk about medical matters.
