I (a resident of Japan) arrived in Japan this morning from Thailand (holiday).
According to all of the information I could find, I do not need to quarantine.
However, my MySOS app is now telling me I have to quarantine. It is also telling me I’m already in violation of quarantine!
I came straight home from the airport and haven’t left my home all day.
What is going on?

Maybe they aren’t giving out as much info now, but when I came they gave some paper that said to ignore the app if you are not subject to quarantine. I think it isn’t smart, and just applies the full quarantine rules to everybody. Probably if you were subject to quarantine you should have checked in by now, and it is detecting that you haven’t done that, but since you aren’t subject to quarantine you don’t need to.
You received the blue paper at the airport right? If so, you don’t need to quarantine and can just ignore the app. I received a notification saying “your quarantine has been cancelled” the next day.
