We're a group of 4 traveling to Japan for 15 (more or less) days. Coming through Osaka and leaving out of Tokyo.
I would like some help in fixing our itinerary to include the Daishizan Seidaiji Temple (Echizen Great Buddha) in Katsuyama, as I am at a lost on how to efficiently include that in our itinerary without "wasting" valuable time.
I was thinking that a day trip from Kyoto to Katsuyama is too much of "waste".
For seasoned Japan travelers, what is the best itinerary to include this temple if coming from Kyoto and ending up in Tokyo?
Please help me.
