  1. Live music this week!

**Tuesday 25th June** I don’t know who FUK(K) are or where they came from, but their wild and loose punk rock parties send people into a shirtless frenzy. Their last one was one of the most crazy fun events I’ve ever been to, and they’re doing it again tomorrow at Shimokitazawa SPREAD. Entrance just Â¥1000: [https://www.instagram.com/p/C8Q6xG5yMp4/](https://www.instagram.com/p/C8Q6xG5yMp4/)

**Wednesdau 26th June** A lovely collection of shoegaze and dreamy indie rock at Nishi-Eifuku JAM: [https://www.instagram.com/p/C8Q3Ms0yfxD/](https://www.instagram.com/p/C8Q3Ms0yfxD/)

**Thursday 27th June** A former staff member of era-defining indie rock/shoegaze band Kinoko Teikoku is continuing the band’s legacy by organising events featuring similar-sounding artists. The next such event is a gentle acoustic show this week at Fuchi Kuchi in Shimokitazawa, one of the city’s most relaxed and welcoming music bars. He *loves* it when foreign audience members show up, as his dream is to share these acts with the world, so go to make his day and see something truly memorable: [https://www.instagram.com/p/C6knJgcS6_l/](https://www.instagram.com/p/C6knJgcS6_l/)

**Friday 28th June (all night)** Electronic music experiments don’t get more intriguing than this, as a wide variety of artists and DJs come together to explore the theme of ‘deconstructing rhythm’ at Bonobo in Shibuya. **Friday 28th June (7pm-morning)** Once in a while these insane miracle mashup events come along that bring together everything that’s at the forefront of Tokyo nightlife. Electronic music, hardcore punk, and a host of DJs create a space for anyone who wants to feel something new, discover something incredible, and do it surrounded by others who want to do the same. These cross-genre parties are where Tokyo’s unique subculture shines the brightest, and one is happening this Friday across two venues, SPREAD and LIVE HAUS, in Shimokitazawa: [https://www.instagram.com/p/C8E04HUStf1/](https://www.instagram.com/p/C8E04HUStf1/)

**Friday 28th June (all night)** Psychedelic rock band Daisy Jaine is holding a charity gig to support the recovery effort from the April 3 Taiwan earthquake: [https://www.instagram.com/p/C8W8Hoays6I/](https://www.instagram.com/p/C8W8Hoays6I/)

    And next week.,..

**Friday 5th July** I am co-hosting an event with gig and DJ crew New Action!, who have been organising parties since 2009, at Shinjuku MARZ in Kabukicho. We’ve picked three unique and brilliant indie acts who we want the world to know about, who will be supported by no less than five DJs and a VJ. Please don’t miss what will be a unique and ridiculously fun night out! Entrance is Â¥1000 off for foreign tourists: [https://www.instagram.com/p/C65498my90U/](https://www.instagram.com/p/C65498my90U/)

  2. Not the organizer, but I’m a long time member of a dodgeball group that plays in Tokyo. Its a very diverse group and no previous playing experience needed. The ten year anniversary tournament is coming up on the 30th.
