I'm from Ontario, Canada and am used to extremely cold winters. I will be moving to Tokyo next January before relocating to Hiroshima in March and I'm starting to think about packing logistics.
I will be bringing two carry-on sized bags only and I want to be strategic with the clothes I bring. This will be a temporary move and I won't be employed until the Hiroshima move so I will be on a relatively tight budget so I'd rather not buy too many clothes while I'm there.
Am I going to need winter clothing/jackets for my time in Tokyo in January/February? Or will my Canadian spring attire fit the bill (denim jacket, t-shirt, jeans) if I just add in a winter hat? Ideally I'd like to not fill my bags with bulky clothes if I don't actually need them!
