My boyfriend and I are going to visit Japan in October for our first time ever. Beneath is our itinerary. I am a big fan of nature and my boyfriend of cities, so we try to combine both. We would like to stay a bit longer in Tokyo, but is hard to make decisions what to skip.
October 18th Day 1 Home –> Tokyo
Mostly spent travelling, getting from the airport to the city and exploring the neigbourhood and looking for good food.
October 19th – 23rd: Day 2-6 Tokyo
Obviously, we will spent a few days exploring Tokyo. I would really like to make a daytrip to something nature-ish, so Nikko seems to be a good option, but also doubting other options: Maybe Arukurayama Sengen Park or Lake Kawaguchi or Hakone.
October 24rd – 26th: Day 7-9 Takayama
Exploring the town, do the sake tasting, go very early int he morning to Kamakochi and do a hike, hike around takayama (Mount Matsukara/higashimaya walking course) or do a datyrip to Gujo or Hida Folk Village.
October 27th – 28th: Day 10-11 Kanazawa
Exploring the town and visiting its many gardens. I read its a bit like small Kyoto, so very curious to see the architecture.
October 29th – November 1st: Day 12-15 Kyoto
Exploring Kyoto and its many beautiful temples, Daytrip to Nara, go to the fushimi inari Shrine and do a bike trip in the afternoon
November 2st – 4th: Day 16-18 Noashima
Exploring the island by bike, and as we love nature, a daytrip to Teshima seems nice. Also we would like some or relaxing, reading, walking on the island
November 5th – 7th: Day 19-21 Hiroshima
Exploring Hiroshima, visit the peace museum and maybe do a bike trip. We would like to make a daytrip to Miyjami Island.
November 8t: Day 22: Osaka
We go home very late (11 pm) so we have the whole day to explore Osaka, would love to check the cup noodle museum
November 9th: Day 23 Osaka –> Home
If you have any advice, thanks!!
