I am working in Japan with a 5 year work visa. I have to return to my country for an indefinite period. Maybe under or just over a year.
I know I need to apply for a Special Re-Entry Permit at the airport if I will be gone for less than a year and apply for a Re-Entry Permit if over a year.
Can someone tell me if Re-Entry Permit is given at the airport itself or I have to go to Immigration Bureau for that?
The format for the Special Re-Entry Permit is a bit confusing as it also has an option for 1~2 yrs
