Itinerary check : Yamanashi region, late august to early september

Hello, i am putting together an itinerary for late august, to explore the Yamanashi region.

This will be my second solo trip to japan. Wanted to see if anyone can chime in, if i missed out on any noteworthy places to visit. Any recommendations for food will be greatly appreciated as well!

Day 1 – Reach Narita, transit to Gotemba via Tokaido & Gotemba line

Day 2 – Bus to subashiri trail 5th Station at dawn. attempt climb to Fuji summit and descend back down to 7th station mountain hut for an overnight stay.

Day 3 – Wake up for the sunrise, then begin descent back to Gotemba. Rest for the day.

Day 4 – Travel to Fujiyoshida Fuji Sengen Shrine, for the fire festival (apparently there will be a second day of the festivities, unsure if it's worth it however)

Day 5 – Aokigahara Nature Trail hike

Day 6 – Taro Jiro Falls & Yamanashi Prefectural Maglev Exhibition Center

Day 7 – Cycling around Lake Suwa

Day 8 – Travel to Kofu and visit Takeda Shrine

Day 9 – Nishizawa Gorge

Day 10- Travel to Matsumoto, visit Matsumoto-Jo castle and Ukiyo-e museum

For the last 3 days, i am torn between heading up to Nagano city, or back down to Nagoya. For the moment i am leaning toward Nagoya as the former does not look very interesting. Would love to hear any recommendations!
