I just started studying Japanese in a language for 4 months ago. I did a mock exam and I passed N4, currently studying for N3 (Minna no Nihongo Intermediate 1). However, I think the class’ pace has gotten really slow, and there are a lot of filler classes. I’ve been studying the book and think I could get by studying bymyself. However, I’m not really confident and looking for some tips and advices on self study?
I was also planning to hire a private teacher to maybe explain grammar or nuances that might be difficult for me. What a reasonable rate for a teacher ? 1,500 -1,800 JPY /hr?
I’m taking the N3 exam on December, thus the reason on wanting to go on a faster pace.
