What’s up with the air quality?

Past couple of nights have been over 100 and as an asthmatic it’s a little concerning. Anyone know why this is?

  1. High humidity keeps in all the pollution. Urban areas tend to be affected more.

  2. Ongojng climate crisis, El Niño, high humidity and a massive concrete heat island = poor air quality.

  3. The past few days have had photochemical smog alerts in many areas. (光化学スモッグ)
Yahoo kurashi is a site that can push notifications depending on the expected severity of the smog. Your prefecture’s home page might also have a section for local alerts. Those are the 2 places we get notifications from.

  4. Biggest metro area on the planet + high humidity and other factors like El-niño

  5. Japan doesn’t take air quality seriously. Cars. Factories etc etc. And here you are.

  6. Maybe the wind 💨 speed is pretty slow so all the smog is not going away
