Is This Recruitment Agency Legit?

This one called Japan Careers that seems to be the employment version of the Sakae Japan Internship Program which is the internship version which are both under Lighthouse Global, Inc. that seems to be a Japanese company, though Lighthouse Global is such a generic name, my google searches show me an MLM investment scam of the same name based in UK.

It seems to be legit but the only thing I've found is something from 4 years ago.

  2. I was in contact with them from 2019-2021 for both internship and fulltime opportunities and never had any red flags. It didn’t work out due to covid closing the border, but the people I spoke to were very kind and helpful. They also have or had a forum to discuss many aspects of Japan and working. Also, when I was searching for internships during undergrad, I also vaguely recall Atari being one of the clients which I thought was pretty neat.

With that said, I can’t say for sure they’re 100% legit only because I never made it to the end of the process.

  3. In Japan, recruitment agencies must be registered and licensed with the government.
Similar companies in Japan clearly state their registration number on the “About us” page of their website. Can we trust a company that does not do that?
