I took a left at Costco today

I’ve been living in Japan for 7 months now and going to Costco and studying Japanese for the same number of months. I take the same right turn into the Costco parking garage until I was able to read the kanji that said “don’t turn right here you twat”. And fixed myself today. It was a glorious/humiliating moment for me and I wanted to share it with someone.

  2. It’s hilarious because nobody, not even the local Japanese people, obeys those signs at my local costco in Tohoku. They had to put up these permanent cones to make turning left while leaving from the back lot impossible because people don’t obey the signs. They can’t block the exit/entrance that trucks come through so people just make rights there even though it says not to.
