Questions about getting prepared for trying to live 1 year in Japan

Hi everyone!

I really enjoyed my holiday in Japan, and I want to see how Japan would be to live in.
Before doing a big move, I first want to experience Japan by going 1 year into Japan with the Workers Holiday Visa. Currently I am 28 years old so the age requirement for the visa is creeping up. I am from the Netherlands and have a remote job for a Dutch company right now.

The questions

– What city or region is climate wise similar to the Netherlands?
I was looking at Sendai as a potential for instance, not sure if anyone has better suggestions?

– Where would be the best place to find rental properties?
I live now in a semi-detached house here with a decent garden, wondering if you could find something with a garden easily for rent there as well in a village? I like to be a bit away from the busyness of the cities.

– How does getting a car work for a year period?
I like to hike and be able to drive to many places. I expect renting a car for a year is just way to expensive. Do I buy a car, and sell it afterwards again?

Appreciate if anyone could help!
